Allianz Driving School scheme — appetite & decline criteria

Overview: minimum 0 tuition hours per week — an instructor who is only looking to teach is acceptable. Age 25–69 (new business only). Vehicle value £2,000–£35,000 on comprehensive. Vehicle age up to 15 years. Licence: full UK/EU, and a valid ADI licence required. Excess £200 for all drivers. Minimum premium £300 plus IPT.

Decline outright: any driver with a previous motor insurance declined, cancelled, or refused; any driver who has or has had any criminal conviction — this scheme has zero tolerance, unlike some other panel insurers; currently disqualified, or no valid licence held; left-hand drive vehicles; vehicles modified beyond dual controls and standard equipment (dual speedo, mirror, disabled driving equipment); off-road tuition, which isn't covered on this scheme (unlike AXA/Ageas); vehicle groups over 30 without referral.

NCB: mirrored NCB is available from a driving tuition or standard private car policy with no fault claims in the last 3 years. Protected NCB is available with 4+ years NCD earned on a driving tuition policy, with no more than 1 fault claim in the last 3 years.

Documents required: fully completed proposal form/statement of facts, proof of NCB (earned in the UK on a driving tuition policy, expired within the past 2 years), copy of driving licence, and copy of ADI badge.
